Lord, I had a dream last night that we had a baby girl. Throughout the entire dream, we were pushing her around in a stroller with us. I would like to glean some hope from that, because I know that You sometimes speak to people through their dreams. But when I tried to tell my wife about the dream, she didn't seem so enthusiastic or hopeful. She is so gun-shy now.
So, I want to pray for three specific things today. One, that my wife would stop being in awe of everyone else's faith and reach out and take it for herself. That she would realize she doesn't have to be on the outside looking in. She can have it too.
Two, that that faith would help her have belief and hope in this journey. That You will be faithful and give us our heart's desire. That our reward will not be earned but give as a gift. And that Your fulfillment of that faith in Your will serve as a first step in a lifetime of great faith all her own.
Three, I want to pray for our baby. That he or she would be healthy and grow up to also have a great faith; doing great things, impacting lives for You, and having spiritual journeys of his or her own. Prepare us to be the best parents, because he or she deserves the best we have to offer.
