Retrospective

Lord, as I sit here pondering what to pray for today, my mind inevitably drifts back to a baby.  I still want one (or two) more than ever.  I'm not discouraged by the last result, because I still believe in Your promise to me.  We may be taking a break from the science route for a couple of months, but it doesn't mean You can't bless us the old-fashion way in the meantime.  So, please calm the storms between my wife and I, so we can find some intimacy.  Help her look forward to and yearn for it.  Help her relax, be patient, and just enjoy herself.  Give me the ability to bring her pleasure, and please bless our time together.

Help us identify and work out any issues we have, so we can all be aligned.  Help us pray together...to find the time, take the time, and make the most of the time.  Help us become more aligned with You.  Take the wheel; we're giving it up to You.  But also realize we're human and may not always understand Your decisions.

I guess the lesson for today is trust in You and giving up my need to control/understand.  So, Lord, give me revelation.  I don't really know what to do, but I'm trusting you.

"But I trust in you, Lord; I say, 'You are my God.'  My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me."  Psalm 31:14-15 NIV

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."  Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
