My Turn!
When I went to pick Troy up today, the teacher
said that he got excited and exclaimed, “It’s my turn!” Troy usually reserves this phrase for claiming food, or a toy, or some other item that you have that
he wants...even if you’re not quite done with it yet, like the fork you’re
currently using to eat your food. So, I found it funny that he had found a new
use for the phrase to express that it was finally his turn to be picked up by a
parent. When she opened the door, he shot out of the room and leaped into my
arms. It was an amazing feeling to be wanted and loved that much.
