The Magic Carpet

Ever since Troy watched Aladdin, he has been obsessed with the magic carpet. While Carpet was a fun and loyal character, I have to admit that I focused on the more obvious characters, like Genie. And while Troy likes Genie too, Carpet gets equal affection in his mind.

When we sit down to eat, we always put a paper towel on the table for Troy, one of those pick-a-size ones. Instead of using it for its intended purpose, he starts waving and flapping it around to make it fly like the magic carpet. He excitedly says, “Carpet! It’s a carpet!” What an imagination.
