Promise to My Son

As your father on earth, I promise to teach you about God, your Father in heaven, who leads us through a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. And about Jesus, His Son, who became a man so that He could die for our sins, so that we no longer need to live under the punishment of the law, but are free instead to have a personal relationship with God. And about the Holy Spirit, who inspires our creativity, imagination, and dreams. I promise to try to be a worthy example of a Christian man, exemplifying a Christian life and always pointing your eyes to heaven. I promise to teach you the stories of the Bible and help you when you have questions. And I promise to love you unconditionally, no matter what might happen between us.
