Today, after his soccer game, Troy was chosen for the sportsmanship medal. They pick two kids each week to get a medal, and this week was Troy's time. He's been showing a lot of improvement, being more aggressive and actually venturing forward more. He still hasn't shown any desire to try to score, but at least now he's been getting the ball away from the other team and progressing it forward, so the two main scorers on his team (Gemma and Link) are getting more chances.
An hour and a half later, he was also chosen for the sportsmanship medal on his flag football team. So, it was a pretty good day for him. He's easily the best player on his football team, but at least this season, he has a better supporting cast too. I'm not sold on his coaches though. They spend more time trying to come up with "trick" plays than working on fundamentals, but it's hard to be too mad, since they're volunteers.
